What the sale filings show

The five disclosed 2026 sale periods above total 6,948 BTC and approximately $431.8 million in proceeds. Both totals are our sums of the individual filing rows through September 27, 2026; the exact reported proceeds in the table total $431.83 million before rounding. Purchase and sale prices are reported on different fee bases: sale prices are net of fees.

The first sale preceded the monetization program

The 32 BTC sale during May 26–31, 2026, for approximately $2.5 million, came before the BTC Monetization Program. The filing described preferred-stock distributions as the expected use of proceeds. Source: June 1 filing.

The framework announced on June 29, 2026 subsequently authorized bitcoin sales to raise up to $1.25 billion for the USD Reserve, and to fund preferred dividends, interest and repurchases of preferred or common stock. The reserve amount is one stated use of the program; it should not be described as a blanket cap on every purpose. Source: June 29 filing.

Later sales paid for different things

The two periods in the July 6 filing total 3,588 BTC sold: 1,363 BTC during June 29–30 and 2,225 BTC during July 1–5, 2026. The company said the proceeds funded preferred distributions and replenished the portion of the reserve used for that purpose.

For July 27–August 2, 2026, the filing allocated $52.4 million to preferred dividends and $52.3 million to STRC repurchases. For August 3–9, the sale proceeds funded STRC repurchases. Sources: August 3 and August 10 filings. The rounded allocation amounts differ slightly from the more precise reported sale total.

What these sales do—and do not—establish

The record establishes that Strategy can sell bitcoin to meet capital needs, and has done so. It does not reveal the timing or price of a future sale. A company policy can change, and market conditions affect financing choices.

A blockchain transfer alone is not proof of a sale. Moving assets between custody addresses, selling assets and pledging assets are different events. This page records disclosed sales; it does not turn unidentified wallet movements into transactions.

Buying resumed later

During August 24–30, 2026, Strategy reported buying 4,603 BTC. During September 21–27, it reported buying another 1,665 BTC. Both the sales and subsequent purchases belong in the record. Sources: August 31 and September 28 filings.
